Σε εξέλιξη βρίσκονται δύο προσπάθειες συγκέντρωσης χρημάτων για την στήριξη του νοσοκομείου Κεφαλονιάς εν όψει της πανδημίας του κορωνοϊόύ.


1) Η πρώτη καμπάνια "Αναπνευστήρας για το νοσοκομείο Κεφαλονιάς":

Η καμπάνια "Αναπνευστήρας για το νοσοκομείο Κεφαλονιάς" έχει συγκεντρώσει ήδη 1800 από το στόχο των 7000 Ευρώ στις τρεις πρώτες μέρες... ευχαριστούμε πολύ τον κόσμο που έχει ήδη στηρίξει την προσπάθειά μας!

Επειδή πολλοί που θέλουν να στηρίξουν, δεν γνωρίζουν πώς λειτουργεί η πλατφόρμα, συντάξαμε μερικές απλές οδηγίες:

- πατάμε πράσινο κουμπί DONATE

- Ανοίγει καρτέλα και επιλέγουμε εγγραφή με Facebook, twitter ή google

- ανοίγει νέα καρτέλα και συμπληρώνουμε το ποσό (μπορούμε να επιλέξουμε να είναι ορατό ή αόρατο για το ποσό και για το όνομα μας)

- ανοίγει νέα καρτέλα για συμπλήρωση στοιχείων:

είδος κάρτας, αριθμό, ημερομηνία λήξης, τριψήφιο κωδικό πίσω μέρους κάρτας

καθώς και ονοματεπώνυμο, διεύθυνση τηλέφωνο και email

- φτιάχνουμε ένα password και το συμπληρώνουμε 2 φορές (επιβεβαίωση)

- πατάμε τέλος το κίτρινο κουμπί "agree and continue". Βγάζει επιβεβαίωση της δωρεάς και μας έρχεται μέιλ με απόδειξη.

Τέλος, ευχαριστούμε όσους ζητούν με προθυμία να καταθέσουν χρήματα σε τραπεζικό κατάστημα, αλλά δεν ενθαρρύνουμε αυτόν τον τρόπο συνεισφοράς για τους εξής λόγους:

1. Η πλατφόρμα crowdfunding μέσω PayPal είναι απόλυτα ασφαλής και παρέχει πλήρη διαφάνεια για τα ποσά που καθένας συνεισφέρει.
2. Σεβόμαστε και υποστηρίζουμε το "μένουμε σπίτι" για την προστασία όλων μας από τη διασπορά του ιού: με απλά βήματα, μέσω της πλατφόρμας, μπορεί καθένας να δώσει τη συνεισφορά του από την ασφάλεια του σπιτιού του.

Ο Λάμπρος Λαζαράτος από τον Καναδά που επισκέπτεται συχνά την Κεφαλονιά κάνει μια προσπάθεια συγκέντρωσης χρημάτων για την ενίσχυση του Νοσοκομείου Κεφαλονιάς.

Hello from Toronto Canada,
Let me introduce myself. My name is Labros Lazaratos. I was born and raised in Canada by my immigrant parents, my mother from Ancient Olympia, Ilias and my father from Kouvalata, Kefalonia.
I have visited Kefalonia many times in my life, being fortunate that my parents would send me to stay with uncles and aunts over summer holidays, when they could not travel. In many ways, I grew up in Kefalonia, as well. Greece was carved into my heart and had the opportunity to visit many other places, including Thessaloniki, Nafplio, Nafpaktos, Hydra, Mykonos, Kos and many other cities, towns and islands, but nothing like Kefalonia.
at the age of 19, I served in the Greek Military Volunteeraly and served in Kalamata and Mandamado, Lesbos (now a refugee camp). This had saddened me in many ways, but hat is a different political issue that is not part of my reasoning in messaging you out.

Was informed that the hospital had 1 ventilator and if anything were to grow with Covid-19 in Kefalonia, the hospital was not ready.
she reached out to me at first to ask the Kefalonia and Ithaca Association of Toronto to see if the could assist, but the brotherhood disbanded years ago.
I decided instead, to reach out to my social media friends, and set up a Go Fund Me Campaign for the hospital.

At first I was given the assumption that a ventilator was about 1000€ and thus started the campaign with a goal of $10,000 CAD to raise money to purchase ventilators. After doing a bit of research, I found a company in Athens that had inventory. I saw that pricing was higher than my assumption, but none the less, we would buy as many as we could get and had found used, still in operational use that was more affordable.
Today, I heard back from Eleana and some businesses have actually purchased units for the hospital and that they may be ok with their numbers. The biggest issue the hospital is having is protection for its front line workers, doctors, nurses, custodial etc did not have enough gloves, masks nor appropriate clothing.
At this current moment, I'm awaiting an email from the doctor responsible for supply of the hospital, to figure out what exactly is needed and where we can go and purchase.

As you may have figured out, I write to you for your help. Not monetarily, but getting the word out that there is a fundraiser that we all can help donate, from Canada, USA, Australia ,Greece, and everywhere else Kefalonians may be. No amount is too little, and any amount would help.
