Συνεχίζονται τα προβλήματα εν όψει του τυφώνα Sandy

Ο κυβερνήτης της Νέας Υόρκης ανακοίνωσε ότι κλείνουν δύο σήραγγες. Χιλιάδες Βρετανοί σήμερα εγκατέλειψαν την Αμερική λόγω της μεγαλύτερης καταιγίδας στη ιστορία των ΗΠΑ. Ο τυφώνας Sandy θα επηρεάσει έως και 50 εκατομμύρια ανθρώπους, έχουν κλείσει όλα τα δίκτυα μεταφορώ,τα σχολεία.

Ο τυφώνας έχει πλέον εξελιχθεί σε 1.000 μίλια πλάτος και αυξάνεται με ταχύτητα προς το hurtles New Jersey, όπου αναμένεται να φτάσει  σε ξηρά αργότερα σήμερα.  Η Νέα Υόρκη πρόκειται να αισθανθεί  τις επιπτώσεις από τις 14:00 τοπική ώρα (18:00 GMT). Η καταιγίδα θα κορυφωθεί απόψε και στη συνέχεια θα υποχωρήσει  τις πρώτες πρωινές ώρες .
